I refuse to compromise myself just to be “popular” I refuse to demean my guests for a click and a view. That’s not how I am built. I got where I am based on merit and uplifting people and supporting people. If I have to now lie cheat and steal to be successful I’m good. The more things I find out about the industry the more I’m reminded why I walked away as a child and stayed away til I was in my 20s. I believe in artist’s rights. I believe in treating people with respect. I believe in being original and not copying or stealing from others. I believe in giving credit where credit is due. These should be simple concepts but apparently that’s not the case for many people. I am saying this now because this situation that’s going on with Diddy isn’t new. The way that women are treated in the entertainment industry is deplorable and it needs to change. The question is who will have the courage to actually speak up and start making changes? Are we all just gonna sit back til the next deplorable video surfaces or are we gonna truly cancel people and companies who enable that kind of behavior? What I’m going to do is to continue to use Danaya Azure Radio to elevate people and businesses.
